They are very similar to the current 11 speed shifters although with the prevalence of 1x the 2x are harder to find. I'm a big fan of SRAM shifters so wanted to stick with those but the only options at the time were either SRAM red or s700 and I was lucky enough to find the s700 levers for sale barely used in a big bundle of gear on eBay (and convinced the seller to split). They were a lot more expensive a few years ago, prices have settled down now! I found happiness with SRAM s700 levers. SRAM shifters are a personal taste thing. I was never a fan of the hy/rd - they always seemed to have no lever feel but maybe that's just me.
